
Pair of large George III silver pots or boxes by Chawner and Emes, London 1799. Engraved on the pull-off covers with a quartered coat of arms with lion and griffin supporters (as yet untraced), and motto ‘Labora’ (apparently for McKie or Mackie) on a banner. 3 inches high; 15.56 ounces
